Introducing Y.O.

Y.O. has been rapping since the year 2002 in his hometown in Wallkill New York. He wasn’t ever serious about his music, it was always something that was just fun to do with friends. He grew up around a producer and they made music that even later got played at the High School Prom in 2004. He grew up in the 845 but moved away when he was 19 to live in Idaho which was really hard for Y.O. coming from Upstate NY an hour away from the melting pot of NYC. He actually met up with an engineer and laid down his first solo release called Pray For Me, My Struggle; Chapter One. His first time on stage was in front of a crowd at the towns beach in Idaho on 4th of July. He moved to Seattle to learn audio engineering and production in Seattle Wa. He then met up with some other artsists and released a CD with the group Endangered Rootz. This is when he really began chasing his dream of being a performer and producer. After about 2 years of shows in the Northwest he moved back home to live with his family in Wallkill NY. This is when he released his first major Album sold in iTunes and Stored across the nation called “Building an Army”. He recorded at Solid Steps Recording in the city of Newburgh and performed in NYC placing 3rd out of 150 contestants.

Y.O. started to do shows all around the 845 from Newburgh to New Paltz to NYC. He then started to learn how to shoot and edit music videos and do photography as well as some Album artwork. Soon after Stellar Sound & Media  was founded when he finished school and became a certified engineer after graduation for the Institute of Audio Research in 2009. He went to school with a lot of like minded individuals and he dropped his second release called “My Mission Statement”. Y.O. has over 15 CDs completely finished that many people haven’t heard because he is working on bringing new material out consistently. Y.O. is a hard working word manipulating hip hop head from the 845 trying to make it to where he can be heard by Millions. He released his newest piece of work called “Benjamins” by Y.O., it can be downloaded on Datpiff.com. Expect much more out of this young artist…. Y.O. (Paid in Full)
